The game starts on Sifhiam, one of the planets in the Seven Worlds.

The general level of technology is close to Earth ca. 1975. Mobile phones, GPS, and world computer networks don't exist.

A derelict spaceship found on Losuria's moon formed the basis for the anti-gravity, FTL travel, and advanced nuclear power technologies used throughout the known star systems. Because their workings aren't completely understood that technology has not advanced significantly for the past 90 years.
