By around 150 BSE, raiding bands of Aityan under the leadership of a succession of warlords had invaded and subjugated neighboring territories. There has also been a slow encroachment by humans into the island of Nismiram, reducing the Shi presence there.

Ashnun Empire (37 BSE)
From 37 BSE to 48 BSE the The Northeastern and Southern Aityan tribes are united by a warlord named Naruk. Naruk's empire of military conquest rapidly expands, and by 50 BPE the Aityan-controlled territory now includes a majority of the landmasses. Naruk is killed in a battle in 32 BPE, and is succeeded by his eldest son. The empire continues under control of the heirs of Naruk (Naruk III in 12 BPE, and Naruk IV in 5 BPE).

Ashnun Empire (37 BSE)
Sokam Empire (1 SE)
What was the village of Siloson on the Zochuan continent has experienced massive growth in the past few decades and is now the largest city-state on the planet. The ruler of Siloson takes control of neighboring villages in the region to help in driving out the Aityan forces ruled by Naruk IV. In the same year that the governor of Siloson proclaims himself "Emperor for All Losuria", the Northeast Aityan tribes rebel against Naruk IV and devolve into a state of inter-tribal warfare.

Kingdom of Hestenes (33 SE)
Rebublic of Kobam (34 SE)
Taking advantage of the fighting between Naruk IX forces and the Northeast Aityan tribes, the Sokam Empire has quickly spread across the Zochuan continent.
To the north of the Sokam Empire, the city-states on Hesetenes unite to form a kingdom of their own, and the Shi have quietly formed a rebublic on Kobam.

In 99 SE the Northeast Aityan tribes are united under the rule of the self-procaimed "True Heir of Naruk", Enaset I. This new empire takes as its primary enemy the Aityan of the Southern Ashnun Empire ruled by Naruk XXII.
The lands and cities around the Kingdom of Hesetenes are voluntarily annexed for protection against Aityan raids.

To the west of the Sokam Empire, the island Kingdom of Morunam expands its influence to control the tribal lands on the continent.
Cultural differences and distrust for the Kingdom of Hesetenes leads the neighboring lands to unite under the rule of Monemes I.
Continuous battle betwen the Northern and Southern Ashnun Empires leave it vulnerable to attack from internal and external forces. The portions of these empires with a majority human population manage to break free and organize to fend off future invasions.
Unburdened by the constant need to defend its borders from Aityan attack, the Sokam Empire settles into a pattern of economic development and prosperity.

Both of the Ashnun empires collapse completely due to internal fighting. A small reminant of the Northern Ashnun Empire invades an isolated island and becomes the Kingdom of Naruk.
Political maneuvering within the Sokam Empire along with a lack of a strong Emperor severely weakens it's control. The island of Nismiram gains limited autonomy, mostly because of the difficulty and cost associated with asserting Sokam rule.
